    Stapelia variegata is flowering again. its an unusual plant that smells bad for a day to attract the blowflies who polinate it .


    This is the plant ,it has flowered several times before and set seed . in the 2nd photo you can see the baby plsnts from the seeds.











    A new bud has formed with a smaller bud also the next few photos show the bud opening .

    That is an absolutely wonderful stapelia, Pixie. It has a wonderful flower & you are so lucky it has set seed. My stapelia leendertziae has been flowering lately but has never set seed. Guess our flies aren't that good at pollination. :lol!:

    If I have been a wee bit slow getting to this it is because I have family visiting from Sydney & we have been out & about with them. Thanks for this post. It is great to see this stapelia.
