You certainly do have a wonderful collection of plants, HollyBerry. They are all gorgeous & there are already too many for me to choose a standout one, although the white succulent is outstanding. The monarch butterflies on your potted chrysanthemums are also stunning. The tomatoes look so delicious & are begging just to be picked & eaten as is. Everything looks so good. Absolutely love the colour of the gerberas.

You really do have an eye for beautiful plants. :bravo: In fact all of our members do. You are all very talented people. :cool3:

Many thanks for posting these beautiful images, HBL. :thankyou: :photos:

What an eclectic mix of plants, you have, HBL. :cool3: They are all so wonderful & so healthy looking. It would be a major task just looking after them all. You are doing a fabulous job. The dahlias are a gorgeous colour, as are the tulips, cornflowers, petunias, marigold & lilies, as well as the bananas, peppers & herbs. Gosh, everything looks terrific, even the Stinky Stars which looks like a stapelia of some sort. :coolsign:

Many thanks for posting these great pics. They are fantastic. :photos: :fun:

Oh thank you!!! So glad you are enjoying them, Joy. I have lots more to show.

I have a weeping dwarf pussy willow tree that's looking rather beautiful these days. Here's what the card that came with my tree said...

    Salix Caprea Pendula

The weeping pussy willow tree is among the most graceful of trees. It is connected with all that is feminine...dreaming, intuition, emotion, enchantment, healing and revitalization. The willow has long since been recognized as a sacred tree by poets, philosophers, and religious leaders because of the flexibility of it's twigs. The willow's flexibility symbolizes resilience and inspires us to move with life rather than resist what we are feeling.

Legend has it that willow is bestowed with magical power capable of fulfilling wishes. For a wish to be granted, ask permission of the willow explaining your desire. Select a pliable shoot and tie a loose knot in it expressing your wish. When your wish is fulfilled, return and untie the knot. Remember to thank the willow for your gift.

Here is my grafted dwarf weeping pussy willow tree in a pot...

Willows of all types tend to be revered in the Northern Hemisphere for their "magical" powers, don't they, HollyBerry?? :lol3: They aren't native to the Southern Hemisphere & were introduced by settlers from the UK. Unfortunately, many types flourished to the extent they have become invasive, noxious weed pests. Which is a shame.

Your beautiful dwarf weeping pussy willow is gorgeous. It looks happy where it is, too. Think I have only seen one pussy willow in my life & it was an upright tree growing in a neighbour's yard when I was a kid back in NZ.

I used to love them when I was a kid and remember how soft and fuzzy the little catkins would feel. I feel like the tree is a part of my childhood which makes it more special to me.

Yes, I believe all willows are said to have magical powers. Here are some better shots I took this evening...

What stunning images, HollyBerry. They are wonderful. :photos: It is a very photogenic plant & you seem to love taking pics of your plants as much as I do. Can fully understand why you love it so much. It definitely is happy where it is if it is already growing leaves. :bravo:

Yes, I do love taking pictures...of anything and everything really. I even have some street photography shots, and I may start a thread for that.

I agree that the tree is exceptionally pretty and photogenic. It's just a marvelous beauty to have in my home.

I'll try to find the pics of my little darling beauty from last year...

It does look so stunning, HBL. Googled it & see that the yellow fuzzy catkins are male ones. So, you have a boy, it would seem. :lol2:

Still cannot imagine looking out of the window & seeing snow. It does look picturesque, though. :D

They do look very decorative, HollyBerry. There would have been plenty of hot peppers there to make some chili jam, if you had been so inclined. Have you ever dried them, HBL??
