Thanks, Justy.
We just hope something will happen, sooner or later. At the moment the "Kakadu Crystal" is so busy growing new shoots that it, probably, hasn't time for growing flower spikes.
As for the Valley Olympic "Prolific", it looks to be a miniature as its one & only shoot is so small & is growing so very slowly.

This shoot looks as though it is developing into a............, well I do not know what it could be.

The other shoot has developed into a new bulb with leaves.

This so exciting as it definitely looks like a flower spike now. It is growing on the "Kakadu Crystal" cymbidium orchid.

Things are certainly happening here & this would definitely have to be a new "Kakadu Crystal" cymbidium orchid flower spike with many buds.

The flower spike on the "Kakadu Crystal" cymbidium orchid continues to grow well but isn't standing up. Hope it does so later on.

It does appear as though this flower stem of the "Kakadu Crystal" cymbidium orchid is getting higher & a little more straight. Then again, it could be just wishful thinking.
There is yet another leaf/bulb shoot growing. This is the one which should be called "Prolific" not the other one. The Valley Olympic "Prolific" is not doing much at all.

It was so exciting, Dawn, when I first realised that one of the shoots of the "Kakadu Crystal" cymbidium had just kept on growing. I could not believe it. Do not know how I had missed it, though, especially as it looked so different from the other leaf/bulb shoots. Have counted about 10 or 11 buds on the spike. Do hope they will all open. Heck, if the truth be known, I would be thrilled if just one opened.
As for the Valley Olympic "Prolific", it has turned into a miniature.

Thanks, Dawn.
The bud, in the above pic, which is a lighter colour & sticking up, turned even lighter & dropped off a couple of days ago. This gave me a bit of a scare but the other buds look ok & remain dark in colour. The spike still isn't erect & sticks out sideways from the plant. As it is so strong there is no way I can force it to stand straight up without breaking it. Guess it will have to stay sticking out.

I have noticed that people who show their orchids or sell them as plants train the flower stem from the early stages to stay upright! I prefer them to be natural as they would normally grow. But then it does save space if they are standing straight up !

Thanks, Dawn.
Don't know how they can train the spike to stand up straight as mine was so strong. It looked like a bullet & it was determined to grow out from the plant right from the start. There was no way it could be stood upright.
The spike has raised itself somewhat &, hopefully, it will lift itself up a bit more before it flowers.

Do hope it flowers soon, Dawn, but it does seem to have been the same for some time. Perhaps it is shy.

It just seems to me as though the "Kakadu Crystal" cymbidium orchid flower buds have increased in size since yesterday. Do not think it is my imagination but it could well be so.
