Its scientific name is streptosolen jamesonii & it comes from the northern parts of South America, such as Columbia, Ecuador & Peru.

The plant belongs to a friend of Bruiser's. He had lost the ID tag & could not remember its name. Thought I would know it. Yerright!!

It is Dawn. The guy that has it in his garden went to the local nursery with some leaves & stuff, They were able to ID it for him. I did not have a clue!!! :lol3:

You were closer in knowing it was named for a preserve. :cool3:

heehee ! :) and I thought it was a game you guys were playing. :D. I knew it was a Marmalade bush but I thought I would throw in a little more mystery instead of saying straight out, which would not have been too much fun would it or good for "further postings" . :D :good: on the nursery/garden centre, for the ID.

They are great shrubs and the flowers do look like Orange Marmalade don't they in colour anyway! It is my favourite on a piece of toast with a steaming cup of tea for breakfast...., Marmalade I mean not the shrub :D :bye:

Bruiser was just asking to see if anyone knew what is was, Dawn.

I have never seen it before but the guy, who has it in his garden, thought I should be an expert on all things botanical which I am, very definitely, NOT!! :lol2:

Well our collective experience will always come up with something. Yes, we aren't Botannical experts but, we all have a Q.B.M.E. after our name . (Qualified By My Experience) :lol2: whatever experience that might be !! :bye:
