Thanks, Justy. We have to be very alert, these days, about spammers & scammers. Our forum host, Forumotion, is very good & has also initiated several security updates recently which means I no longer have to be so vigilant. I can tell you that is a huge relief for me. There does seem to be less & less spammers looking at our forum, too. It has been quite a while since I banned an IP or e-mail address. At the moment I am up to 1275 IP addresses & 1750 e-mails banned.

Another thing is that I can limit who sees what. For example, non-members (Guests) have no access to the Member's list or Profiles so spammers cannot get hold of members' email addresses or other means of contact. New Members cannot PM anyone until they have racked up 10 posts. The two Family forum areas, here, are also protected in that Guests cannot see them & New Members also cannot see them until they have reached Member status, which is 25 posts.

I'm glad you have security set the way you do. Some people are just out to hurt others in one way or another.

Same here, Justy. It would take a great deal of effort, not to mention a very good memory, to try & pretend you are someone else, BUT, unfortunately, there are those out there, in cyberland, who do this. Why, I'll never know.
